Online Will Writing, Wherever You Are in the UK

A real will writer, not a template — make your Will by video from home, anywhere in the UK.

Not a DIY template — a real Will writer, working for you

Template websites hand you a set of boxes and leave the thinking to you. Tick the wrong one and nobody tells you.

We do ask. Your video appointment is a proper conversation with a professional Will writer, and your Will is drafted around what you actually said — not assembled from a dropdown. If you’re unsure about anything, there’s someone to ring.

Online Will writing — as easy as 1-2-3

Three steps, one appointment, and a properly written Will posted to your door.

1

Book your appointment

Fill in the form or give us a call, and we’ll find a time that suits you. You’ll get a confirmation email with your appointment details and our Instructions Preparation Guide.

2

Approve your Will

We prepare your draft Will and send it over with a Clause Clarification Guide explaining what each part means. Anything you’d like changed, just say — we keep going until you’re happy, at no extra cost.

3

Sign your Will

We print your Will and post it to your door. You sign it in front of two independent witnesses, and our Signing Guide walks you through exactly how. That signature is what makes it legally binding.

How your video appointment works

Your appointment takes place over Microsoft Teams — nothing to buy, nothing to install. We email you a link, you click it, and it opens in your browser. Prefer Zoom, Google Meet or WhatsApp video? Just say when you book.

We’ll talk through what you own (your estate), who you’d like to inherit (your beneficiaries), who should look after any children under 18 (their guardians), and who you’d trust to carry out your wishes (your executors). Anything unclear, we’ll explain.

If video isn’t practical, we can do your appointment by telephone instead.

Who our online Will writing service suits

Online works particularly well if you’re:

Busy

A video appointment fits around work far more easily than a day built around travel.

A long way from us

Our online service covers the whole of the UK, so distance simply doesn't come into it.

Less mobile, or unwell

No journey, no waiting room, no getting ready to go out. We come to you on screen, at a time you're feeling up to it.

More comfortable at home

With your paperwork to hand and a cup of tea, which is when most people think most clearly.

Would you rather meet in person?

That’s what our Home Visit Wills service is for — we come to you, or you come to our Oxford office, for the same price.

What our clients say

In their own words — from clients we’ve helped online and in person.

Professional, knowledgeable, courteous and approachable. Timely completion of documents, flexible to meet around our availability and helpful in signposting us to other agencies we may find useful. Highly recommend.

Mrs K

Everything was extremely smooth and Edward is very adept at explaining all of the legalities and technical points in an extremely simple and easy to understand language.

Mr T

Edward from the Will writing service from A.D.E Wills supported us very well on the details of our rather complex wills. Certainly as good, and much quicker, as the expensive bigger law firm we were working with before and much better than the online will making services that we explored. Highly recommended!

Mr R

Fantastic service from Edward start to finish in providing new set of wills for my wife and myself. Chose a home visit and it was an absolute pleasure with Edward explaining and listening to our needs. Very professional , thorough and takes great care in advising his clients. I would recommend his services, no hesitation.

Mr and Mrs P

A.D.E Wills helped me write my first will. I had loads of questions throughout the process as I've never done this before, but Edward was very good at explaining everything to me at every step. The price was good too and I never felt rushed either, and the customer services was unparalleled.

Miss B

The Will writing service from A.D.E. Wills was excellent. Edward was helpful, thorough, clear and kind. His language, and the language in the Will are easy to understand and not burdened with legal jargon - but still legally very sound. Highly recommend!

Mrs B

I can't recommend Edward highly enough. He handled our complex and evolving situation with skill and understanding. He met all of our unreasonable timescales resulting from our circumstances, with ease and good humour. We now have the peace of mind that everything is in order.

Mrs D

If you are looking for legal advice, you should definitely consider A.D.E Wills. I am truly grateful with the service I received. I've never seen such a high quality customer service.

Mr G

Edward was excellent when dealing with my elderly, poorly grandparents. He was very efficient when helping them to write their will at such short notice. My Grandfather who is very deaf can be somewhat hard to deal with at times, Edward handled him just perfectly.

Miss G

Edwards diligence is absolutely second to none. What a lovely young man offering the most genuine and professional service, with his clients needs and empathetic consideration first and foremost.

Your Will is written by an accredited member of the Society of Will Writers, working to their Code of Practice and holding full professional indemnity insurance. We’re professional Will writers rather than solicitors — the same legally sound documents, usually at a lower fixed fee.

Two free guides to help you get started

Our Will Guide explains, in plain English, what a Will does, who you’ll need to name, and how the whole process works.

The Will Writing Checklist is a short worksheet to fill in before your appointment — it makes the conversation easier and means nothing gets forgotten.

One of our ways to make your Will

Online is one of several routes to the same carefully written Will. Prefer to meet face to face? That’s Home Visit Wills. Urgent — a hospital admission, imminent surgery? Emergency Wills takes instructions within 24 hours. Our Wills pricing page sets out every option and fee side by side.

Home Visit Wills

We come to you, or meet at our Oxford office — the same price either way. From £400.

Emergency Wills

Priority service for urgent situations. Instructions within 24 hours, draft within 48.

Your Will is part of a bigger picture

A Will decides what happens after you die. It doesn’t help while you’re alive — so most of our clients also set up a Lasting Power of Attorney, which lets someone you trust act for you if illness or injury ever stops you acting for yourself. And a Will only works if it can be found and still says what you meant, which is where safe storage and regular reviews come in.

We can cover any of this in the same appointment, so there’s no need to book again.

Online Will writing FAQs

Yes, entirely. What makes a Will valid is that it’s correctly drafted and correctly signed — not where the conversation happened. You sign your printed Will in front of two independent witnesses, exactly as you would with any Will, and our Signing Guide shows you how.

Not at all. We send you a Teams link, you click it, and that’s the extent of it — it opens in your browser, with no account to set up. If video really isn’t workable, we’ll do your appointment by telephone instead.

No. The saving is in the travel and the time, not the Will. You get the same Will writer, the same unlimited draft changes, the same printed document and the same guarantees as our in-person clients.

Yes — our online service covers the whole of the UK. Distance makes no difference to what we can do for you.

Most clients receive their draft Will within a week of their appointment, depending on how complex things are. We’ll give you a clearer idea at your appointment. If you need it faster than that, ask about our Emergency Wills service.

You can update a Will at any time. Our Safe Will Plan and Legacy Care Plan both include annual reviews and reminders, so it doesn’t quietly go out of date.

Yes — couples are done in one appointment, and the couple price of £405 covers two individual Wills, usually mirroring each other.
