Will Review Service — the Legacy Care Plan

Storage, yearly reviews and a new Will every 3 years — from £10 a month.

Why a Will goes out of date

Most Wills are written once and then quietly left alone. That’s fine, until something changes.

Marriage automatically revokes a Will — so unless it was written in contemplation of that marriage, you’re left without one. Divorce doesn’t revoke a Will, but it does treat your former spouse as though they’d died before you, which is rarely what people expect. A new child or grandchild, a house move, a beneficiary you’ve lost touch with, or an executor who has died or moved abroad — each is a good reason to look again.

A Will that no longer reflects your life can cause exactly the difficulty you wrote it to avoid.

Updating your Will is as easy as 1-2-3

No forms to fill in and nothing to chase. Just let us know what’s changed.

1

Tell us what's changed

A phone call or an email is enough. There are no forms to complete and no appointment to book unless you’d like one.

2

We draft it

We prepare the update — or the new Will, if it needs one — and send it over for you to check. Changes until you’re happy, as always.

3

We post it out

Your updated Will arrives printed, with a Signing Guide where one’s needed. We’ll destroy your old Will securely, or return it to you if you’d rather keep it.

What's included in the Legacy Care Plan

One plan, one monthly price — your Will stored, reviewed and kept up to date for you.

Single

£10/month

Couple

£18/month

Printing and posting are included every time. There’s nothing further to pay for the updates themselves.

The plan looks after a Will we’ve written for you. If yours was written elsewhere, that’s no obstacle — we’ll talk you through making a new one first, and you can join once it’s in place.

Joining is done over the phone. The plan is tied to your Will and your circumstances, so we’d rather have a short conversation first and make sure it’s the right thing for you.

Is this the right plan for you?

Two plans, depending on how often your Will is likely to need changing.

Safe Will Plan — from £3 a month

Your Will kept safe and findable: fireproof storage, a password-protected copy, an annual reminder to review it, and release to your executors when it’s needed. When you want a change, you let us know and we quote for it. Ideal if your wishes are settled.

Legacy Care Plan — from £10 a month

Everything in the Safe Will Plan, with the updates handled for you: one minor change a year and a brand-new Will every three years, both included and posted out. Nothing further to pay when life shifts. Ideal if your circumstances are still changing.

Not sure which? Give us a ring on 01865 507174 we’ll help you work out which plan fits.

Minor change or a new Will?

Not every change needs a new document — and knowing the difference is part of what we handle for you.

A minor update

A change of name or address for an executor or beneficiary, or a detail that needs correcting. We draft it, print it and post it out. One is included every year.

A new Will

Adding a clause, changing who receives the residue of your estate, or reshaping your wishes. These need a fresh document rather than an amendment — which is included every three years.

If something significant happens before your three years are up, just tell us. We’ll look at it together and tell you plainly what’s needed.

Your Will is written by an accredited member of the Society of Will Writers, working to their Code of Practice and holding full professional indemnity insurance. We’re professional Will writers rather than solicitors — the same legally sound documents, usually at a lower fixed fee.

Part of your wider estate plan

Keeping your Will current is one piece of good estate planning. Many of our clients also hold a Lasting Power of Attorney, so someone they trust can act for them if they ever can’t.

Two free guides to help you decide

The Legacy Care Plan Overview sets out what the plan covers, what’s included each year, and how the three-year Will works — all in one place to read at your own pace.

The Savings Guide compares what the included updates would cost if you paid for each one separately, so you can see plainly whether the plan is worth it for you.

Will review service — common questions

Yes — the plan looks after a Will we’ve prepared for you. If yours was written elsewhere, we’ll talk you through making a new one first, and you can join once it’s in place.

A change of name or address for an executor or beneficiary, or a detail that needs correcting. One is included every year, drafted, printed and posted to you. Anything that changes the substance of your Will needs a new document — and that’s included every three years.

It is. No further fee, and printing and posting are covered too. If your circumstances haven’t changed, we’ll simply confirm your existing Will still reflects your wishes.

Just tell us. We’ll look at it together and tell you plainly what’s needed — we won’t leave you waiting on a date if something important has changed.

Yes, at any time. If you’d still like your Will kept safe, we can move you across to the Safe Will Plan instead — you keep the storage, the annual reminder and executor release, at £3 a month for a single Will or £5 for a couple. Or if you’d rather hold it yourself, we’ll return your original to you.

We destroy it securely once the new one is signed, or return it to you if you’d rather keep it. Your Will is only ever released to you or to the executors you’ve named.

Give us a ring on 01865 507174, or leave your details below and we’ll call you back. We’ll check the plan is the right fit and set it up over the phone.
