Website Terms of Use

A.D.E Estate Planning Limited

Last updated: August 2026

These terms explain the rules for using adewills.co.uk. By using the site you accept them. They cover our website only. If you instruct us to write a Will or prepare a Lasting Power of Attorney, our Terms and Conditions apply to that work instead.

2. Accepting These Terms

By using our site you confirm that you accept these terms and agree to comply with them. If you do not agree to them, please do not use the site.

You are responsible for making sure that anyone who accesses our site through your internet connection is aware of these terms and complies with them.

3. Other Terms That Apply

These terms of use refer to the following, which also apply when you use our site:

If you instruct us to carry out work for you, our Terms and Conditions govern that work. Nothing on this page changes them.

4. Changes to These Terms and to Our Site

4.1 These Terms

We may amend these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they were last updated. Please check this page when you use the site so you know which terms apply.

4.2 Our Site

We may update and change our site to reflect changes to our services, our clients’ needs and our business priorities.

5. Availability of Our Site

Our site is made available free of charge. We do not guarantee that it, or any content on it, will always be available or uninterrupted. We may suspend, withdraw or restrict all or part of the site for business or operational reasons, and will try to give reasonable notice where we can.

6. Our Site Is for Users in England and Wales

Our site is aimed at people in England and Wales, because that is where we write Wills and prepare Lasting Powers of Attorney. We make no representation that the content is appropriate or available for use elsewhere.

The law of succession and mental capacity differs in Scotland and Northern Ireland, and abroad. If you live outside England and Wales, please take advice locally.

7. Our Content Is Not Legal Advice

The content on our site is general information. It is not advice on which you should rely, and it does not take account of your circumstances.

Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney and estate planning depend heavily on individual facts. Two people in apparently similar positions can need quite different documents. Please speak to us, or to another suitably qualified professional, before you act or decide not to act on the basis of anything you read here.

We make reasonable efforts to keep the site up to date, but we make no representation, warranty or guarantee that the content is accurate, complete or current. Law and practice change, and pages are not always updated the moment they do.

A.D.E Wills provides professional Will writing and estate planning services. We are not solicitors and we do not provide legal advice in the way a solicitor would.

8. How You May Use Our Content

We are the owner or licensee of all intellectual property rights in our site and in the material published on it, including our guides and checklists. Those works are protected by copyright. All rights are reserved.

8.1 What You May Do

You may print one copy and download extracts of any page for your own personal use. You may download and keep our free guides and checklists for your own use, and share them with your family or your other advisers.

8.2 What You May Not Do

  • modify any copy you have printed or downloaded
  • use any illustration, photograph or graphic separately from the text it accompanies
  • use any part of our content for commercial purposes without a licence from us
  • remove or obscure our name from any material you have downloaded

Our status as the author of content on our site must always be acknowledged.

If you use any part of our site in breach of these terms, your right to use it ends immediately and you must, at our option, return or destroy any copies you have made.

9. No Text or Data Mining

You may not conduct, facilitate, authorise or permit any text or data mining, or any web scraping, in relation to our site. This includes using or attempting to use:

  • any robot, bot, spider, scraper or other automated device, program, tool, algorithm or process to access, copy, monitor or republish any part of the site
  • any automated analytical technique intended to analyse text or data on the site to generate information, including patterns, trends or correlations

This clause is an express reservation of our rights. It does not apply to the extent that we are unable to restrict such activity by contract under the law that applies to us.

10. Websites We Link To

Where our site links to other websites or resources, those links are provided for information only. They do not mean we approve of those sites or of anything you may obtain from them. We have no control over their content.

This includes links to organisations such as the Office of the Public Guardian, The Society of Will Writers and charities we support. We link to them because they are useful, not because we take responsibility for what they publish.

11. Our Responsibility for Loss or Damage

11.1 What We Never Exclude

We do not exclude or limit our liability to you in any way where it would be unlawful to do so. That includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, and for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

11.2 Work We Do for You

Different limits apply to any work we carry out for you as a client. Those are set out in our Terms and Conditions, not here. This section is about the website.

11.3 If You Are a Consumer

We provide our site for domestic and private use. We have no liability to you for any loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption or loss of business opportunity arising from your use of it.

11.4 If You Are a Business

We exclude all implied conditions, warranties, representations and other terms that might otherwise apply to our site or its content. We will not be liable to you, whether in contract, tort including negligence, breach of statutory duty or otherwise, for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, our site, or from reliance on any content on it. This includes loss of profits, sales, business or revenue; business interruption; loss of anticipated savings; loss of business opportunity, goodwill or reputation; and any indirect or consequential loss.

12. How We Use Your Personal Information

We use personal information only as set out in our Privacy Policy. That covers enquiries made through this site as well as the information we hold about clients.

13. Viruses and Misuse

We do not guarantee that our site will be secure or free from bugs or viruses. You are responsible for configuring your own equipment to access it, and for using your own virus protection software.

You must not misuse our site by knowingly introducing viruses, trojans, worms, logic bombs or any other malicious or technologically harmful material. You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to our site, to the server on which it is stored, or to any server, computer or database connected to it. You must not attack our site by means of a denial-of-service attack.

Breaching this clause would be a criminal offence under the Computer Misuse Act 1990. We would report any such breach to the relevant law enforcement authorities and co-operate with them, including by disclosing your identity. Your right to use our site would end immediately.

14. Linking to Our Site

You may link to our home page, provided you do so in a way that is fair and legal and does not damage our reputation or take advantage of it.

  • you must not suggest any association, approval or endorsement on our part where none exists
  • our site must not be framed within any other site
  • the site you link from must comply with our Acceptable Use Policy

We reserve the right to withdraw linking permission without notice. If you would like to link to a page other than our home page, or make any other use of our content, please email info@adewills.co.uk.

15. Which Law Applies

These terms of use, their subject matter and their formation are governed by English law. You and we both agree that the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
