Store your Will with us
Once you have signed your Will, post it back to our team and we will place it in our Fireproof Storage Cabinet.
We will also provide you with a password-protected version for you to keep and share with your executors.

Tell us what needs changing
As part of your storage subscription, we will get in touch with you regularly, to ask if your Will needs updating.
Once you tell us of any changes that are needed, we will update your Will accordingly and send out a draft version for you to review with a Clause Clarification Guide.
Once confirmed, we will then post your new Will to you with a downloadable Signing Guide.

Sign your new Will
Once you have your printed Will, you just need to sign it in front of two independent witnesses to make it legally binding.

Sign your new Will
After you have confirmed you are happy with your updated draft Will, we will post the final version to you with a downloadable Signing Guide.
Once signed and posted back to us, we will place your new Will in the Fireproof Cabinet.
When do I need to update my Will?
You should review your Will every 3-5 years and after any major change in your life, for example:
• getting separated or divorced
• getting married (this cancels any Will you have in place)
• having a child
• moving house
• if the executor named in the Will dies
Frequently asked questions
Is a Legacy Care Plan really more cost-effective than simply writing a new Will?
If you write a Will with a high-street solicitor, you may need a codicil to change your Will. This is a separate document that costs about £70 each time. If you want to make more significant changes to your Will, most high-street solicitors would recommend making a new Will instead, which can cost hundreds more.
Your Legacy Care Plan allows you to make such changes at a much more reduced price spread over monthly instalments.

How many changes can I make in a year?
You can make a Will containing minor changes each year. Minor changes include changing the name or address of an executor, trustee, guardian or specific gift beneficiary.
Major changes include inserting a new clause (such as an appointment, gift or legacy) and any changes to the residuary estate. In such cases, a new Will is needed. A Standard Plan entitles you to a new Will every 3 years; an Advanced Plan entitles you to a new Will every 2 years; and a Premium Plan entitles you to a new Will every year.
Any further changes are made at a 10% discount to the normal service cost.

Can I have a Legacy Care Plan if I already have a Will written by someone else?
Legacy Care Plans are available to all our clients who write their Will with us, whether via an online, a telephone or a home visit service.
If your old Will is outdated, you could make a new Will for just £175 by using our online Will writing service. This would then allow you to start your Legacy Care Plan and update your Will in future, as part of your Plan.
Once you’ve printed and signed your new Will alongside two witnesses, it’s important that you dispose of your old Will to avoid confusion for your executors.

This can be, for example, a home visit appointment or a life interest trust included in to your Will.
